newAD2 - optical characterization software

dataAD2 – preparing the input data

The dataAD2 program creates the input files of the newAD2 program from the original data measured by individual instruments and from other sources, such as tables of optical constants. The newAD2 program does not import the original files, it loads only the data files in its own format; dataAD2 is one of the ways to create them.

The main window shows a list of the input files in the working directory (name, sample, measurement, experimental functions, variables, number of points and the origin of the file) and a plot of the selected file. After choosing an instrument, the button Create new data... opens a window in which the original files are selected, the sample and measurement names are set and a new input file is created. The button Open source opens this window again for an already created file (the settings are remembered in the file .settings-data); the other buttons rename and delete a file. Every instrument window is independent, so several of them can be open at the same time.

Supported instruments: the J. A. Woollam ellipsometers RC2, V-VASE and IR-VASE, the Horiba Jobin Yvon ellipsometer UVISEL and the Bruker Vertex FTIR spectrometer (reflectance, relative reflectance and transmittance).
